FAQs
Q. What types of franchises are available?
A. We are presently looking to franchise on a very limited basis, and only in certain key geographic markets. For those markets, we are looking for established multi-unit operators who are personally and financially qualified to open and operate a minimum of 5 locations over the next 2-3 years under an Area Development Agreement. Paradise Bakery does not sell single-unit franchises.
Q. How much is the franchise fee?
A. The Area Developer currently pays an Area Development Fee of $15,000 for the first Bakery & Café and $10,000 for each additional Bakery & Cafe location it agrees to develop and is payable upon the execution of the Area Development Agreement. In addition to the Area Development Fees, a Franchise Fee of $40,000 is due for the first and second Bakery & Café and $25,000 is due for each subsequent Bakery & Café on the Area Developer's schedule, and is payable upon execution of the Franchise Agreement for each Bakery & Café.
Q. What is the total investment required for each Paradise Bakery location?
A. The total investment ranges from $480,000 to $805,000 for a 800 s.f. mall store and $915,000 to $1,205,000 for a 4,500 s.f. location. The aforementioned costs do not include real estate and related costs or landlord allowances. Factors such as the size of your location, building codes, construction costs in a particular area and numerous other variables will impact the total investment cost.
Q. Will I receive assistance in opening my business and what kind of ongoing support will I receive?
A. Paradise will provide you with development assistance, training and operational assistance and ongoing support. Please refer to franchise "Service and Support" for further information.
Q. How much are the ongoing royalties?
A. 5 percent of gross receipts, due monthly.
Q. What is the term of the Franchise Agreement?
A. The basic term is 10 years. You may renew for one additional successive five-year term by signing the then current form of our franchise agreement.
Q. I want to know more. What do I do next?
A. Complete and return the "Application". If you have any additional questions, you may contact us at franchise@paradisebakery.com
